What can you say about two incredible people who gave so much of their lives to help others. Dave and Shirley were always there to listen, guide, support and pray for us. We miss the many conversations we had with them.
One thing that stands out in our minds is when Dominick and I had a nine-year old girl who was HIV+ live with us for a while. It was her birthday and she loved Tweedy Bird. They planned a big Tweedy Bird surprise birthday party for her at their home and their entire family attended. There was food, cake, presents and lots of love!
That was David and Shirley and their legacy continues on in their family! We are honored that their daughter, Tammy and granddaughter Valerie continue on our board; three generations making a difference. We wish to express our deepest love to the entire family!
Dave & Shirley Chase were always involved with good causes. Support was given to The Palms of the Oasis, through prayer, personal donations and assistance with fundraisers. Shirley was creative with great ideas on how to raise money or get donations to help. In the last weeks of Shirley’s life; she gave her ideas and suggestions to Josephine to help with “Make a Difference Day”. Many valuable lessons were learned from Dave and Shirley who live on through their daughters; Donna and Tammy and granddaughter, Valerie.
